dr_tectonicWe have had a really wonderful visit this weekend.
The trip from the airport on Friday was reasonably lousy, since there was a tractor-trailer that turned over and caught fire, so what's normally about an hour drive took 3 or 4, but it wasn't all that bad since we were able to hang around and talk with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
melted_snowball and that's what we would have been doing if we weren't stuck in the car, though admittedly I was not driving.
Dan & Daniel have a lovely house that I want to take DNA sample from and clone just as soon as someone figures out how to do that. Party on Saturday to celebrate dan getting tenure, plus dinner at a nice restaurant afterwards. Met lots of interesting people, nibbled on lots of tasty cheeses. Plus I got to see Bert & Abbe their daughter Kata, who are friends from college I haven't seen in a decade or so. (Well, not their daughter, who is only 2-ish. She wasn't around yet in college.)
Yesterday we metdetailbear in person and I had some really fantastic onion rings at a little burger place, and that was a lot of fun, too. Oh, and randomly Jerry & I ended up buying shorts on clearance. Then dan & Daniel's friends Max & Jeremy came over and we played Arkham Horror, like, all afternoon and evening. We won, in a somewhat surprise turn of events after 11.
As I said, a wonderful trip. Heading back to Colorado this afternoon.
