Two recently-discovered blogs that have me alternating between "Okay, that's pretty awesome" and "Oh my god what is WRONG with you people?!?":

http://thereifixedit.com

http://notalwaysright.com

I recommend them both to you. Because you know you have way too much free time.

I like notalwaysright.com - it's like bash.org outside of the chatrooms...

I read notalwaysright.com as a balance to consumerist.com. Together they remind me that people and companies are stupid. :)

My inner engineer is never sure whether to laugh or cry at There I Fixed It. Good stuff.

Yes, exactly!

It's a spring!

There are some of them that I think "oh, surely that's made up", and then there are the ones that can't be because nobody would make that up, it makes no sense!

I think a significant fraction of the stories probably involve people who are either mentally ill or really, really high.

But I also wonder if some of them aren't just space aliens. How is it possible to reach adulthood without learning some of the things they seem not to know?

Sometimes I am astonished that things like cars and agriculture exist at all.

Wait. Am I seeing right? Their bookmark icon thingee for There, I Fixed it, is the logo of Captain Hammer, Corporate Tool? Wow.

Not Always Right is one I peruse daily.

I agree with the comment that many seem to involve customers who are mentally ill or otherwise impaired, and those can be a little sad. But others are pretty amusing. I think the best ones are the ones where a customer, in the middle of an abusive rant, realizes that he is completely in the wrong, and has made a huge scene. These usually end with "and runs out of the store".

I also recommend passiveaggressivenotes.com

This was almost a ROFL for me. This looks like lurid digs for fix it up.
