I made kabobs for dinner tonight. We don't have a grill, but the broiler worked pretty well. I was pleased with how they turned out.

I also may waaaaaay too much tabbouleh. The bulgar expanded a lot more than I expected it too. But I'm quite happy with the flavor, especially since it was one of those "throw things in by eye" dishes.

Last Thursday-Saturday I was the presentation wrangler and microphone jockey for a big symposium my boss co-hosted. It all went well, but man, 11.5 hour days are exhausting. Starting before 8 AM only exacerbated things. But hurrah for building up comp time.

Hopefully I'll manage to be a little more talkative now that that's all done with.

Every other week my Wedensdays are 12 hours long and I feel this entitles me to whinge and mope about for days afterward. In my head, at least. So if you need a break before feeling talkative, that is a-okay. Also, tabbouleh is one of the few Middle Eastern dishes I can't stand due to the raw tomato content. It makes me sad.

Tabbuleh. I haven't made that in so long. I really need to 'cause it's a great hot weather side dish. And it's soooo easy.

It means, um, to make things worse.
