I am feeling much better, thank you. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday to get the magic pills (benzonatate) that will destroy the after-sickness cough I always get; his opinion was that the brown mucus was most likely just dried blood from coughing so hard I tore something a little, which sounds about right. In any case, it's cleared up now.
I will plan to post the recipe, but I want to give it another try first; the first batch was tasty, but very soupy, and I think it can be improved.
