The Net.Works show dencoartist organized opened last night, and I went and got to meet some cool LJ folks in person.

So far, I've never met anyone who was totally different in person than online. But the thing that's interesting is I have a mental voice, reading people's entries, and it never, ever matches up with what their voice actually sounds like. That, and folks are often considerably taller or shorter than I think they are based on icons. =)

Since I'm going to the cocktail party this evening and doing gaming tomorrow, I think I'm going to spend the rest of the weekend low-key and fighting off a cold.

Well, I *know* that you're actually like 6'2" or 6'4" or something, but something about your icons makes my brain think you ought to be about 5'8". Crazy, I know.

The thing that's neat about the show is that since the common thread has nothing to do with art, everyone's styles are vastly different, so you're likely to be able to find something you enjoy looking at.
