Riiiii-Booo-SOME!
Jul. 26th, 2007 12:18 amOh. Em. Effing. Gee!
Okay. What do you get when you mix a chemistry professor, an entire university dance department, a late-60s jam band, protein transcription, and -- for no readily apparent reason -- the poem Jabberwocky?
You get this 13-minute YouTube video.
There's a slow talky bit at the beginning which honestly, you should watch. To ready yourself. But really? It's all about watching people writhe about on the quad while some guy in the band yells things like "peptide bond, woo!" and "tRNA, yeah!"
It should also be noted that it is readily apparent that every one of these people is TOTALLY FREAKING HIGH.
Ohmigod. It's so hysterically bad. In a way, it's almost kind of cool. But mostly, it's just awful. Mind-bogglingly, side-splittingly, delightfully, awful.

Date: 2007-07-26 07:33 am (UTC)It was, however, refreshing to see 30s ribosomes and 50s ribosomes making 80s ribosomes. Apparently, in my Micro class, 40s plus 50s makes 80s. Our teacher told us to just go with it, and if we really wanted to know, to take a higher level biochem class. Sigh.

2) I am sure this has been used as ammo to cut higher education funding at least once.
3) At least they tried. The problem is that it's a requirement to be high to fully understand this video.
