One frustration with going back to a piece of code every year or so is looking at something that's awkwardly architected, seeing a better way to organize it, and then not knowing whether it's weird because you were being dumb when you did it, or because there was a good reason that you've forgotten about. (Or whether it's somebody else's dumbness, and you've just had no opportunity to fix it yet.)

Sorry, but it's a new realm of thought, needs new words. Easiest just to appropriate words from elsewhere by nouning the verbs and verbing the nouns to make them distinct.
