Technology hates me. The cell phone I have borrowed from Jerry won't say anything but "limited service", the dome lights in my rental car wouldn't turn off for a chunk of last night, and when I tried to boot up the laptop in the airport yesterday, it won't go. Some kind of "non-bootable volume" error, which suggests that the hard drive died or something like that. Eit!

Obviously, I have found a substitute (computer lab), and I have downloaded everything I need for a demo onto a thumb drive, but I'll need to find a laptop to borrow tomorrow during the poster session.

Otherwise, things are fine. The weather is cool but nice, the phone in my room works fine, and I *did* manage to find a computer lab.

I should get lunch and start actually thinking about the stuff we'll be talking about today...

I'm posting this mostly to organize my own thoughts, you can ignore it. )

Unrelatedly, I really can't cope with non-tabbed browsing anymore. Even though I regard IE with great scorn, I'm glad the latest version copied it from Firefox. It lessens the annoyance of being stuck with it.
