The Boat That Rocked
Just got back from The Boat That Rocked.
Okay, it's the U.S. Release, so I guess I actually saw Pirate Radio, because somebody thinks Murrican audiences require thuddingly literal movie titles. /eyeroll
I enjoyed it. It's a very anecdotal movie, by which I mean that it didn't really have as much of a story arc as I expected. It was like, here's a situation, and some characters, and then some stuff happens. Also somewhat more of an ensemble piece than I expected, which is good.
Bill Nighy is a very funny man. And Kenneth Branagh does smug evil really, really well.
The gal at the ticket counter told me it's leaving the theater Thursday, so I'm glad I went tonight.

Pirate RadioThe Boat that Rocked, but like Hot Fuzz, I'm having a damned hard time finding it in my area.I'll just do what I did with Run Fat Boy Run, and just buy the DVD from Amazon UK. Then I can at least have a cover that has the right title on it.

Sigh. I hope the American DVD version will have a director cut or the original British theatrical release.

Actually, it's "giddy." This movie was giddy.
