Y'know, I have a bunch of things I want to make posts about, but I haven't had enough time or awakeness lately when it comes time to do some posting. Well, EIT, as we say in the Old Country™.

Got most of my Christmas shopping done today. The stuff I didn't get done, I at least figured out what to get and likely places to get it. So that's nice.

Had a pen leak in the wash, so I spent a chunk of time this evening soaking a pair of jeans and Jerry's fleece pullover with spot remover and scrubbing. The jeans are a lost cause -- they'll be around-the-house only now, but the pullover was rescued with only a small and subtle stain. Hooray for surfactants! ("Zout" -- actually worth the money.)

Along with Xmas presents, I was unable to stop myself from buying three kids' books for myself today. A posthumous Jonathan Bellairs, the first Matthew Looney, and --GLEE!-- Mercer Meyer's Professor Wormbog In Search for the Zipperump-A-Zoo which is apparently finally back in print!

We have a big departmental meeting tomorrow morning, so now I must a-bed. Seems a little odd, given that I spent most of the day sleeping yesterday, but I suppose you can't really save up a surplus.

I find myself surprisingly happy to hear that, as that was one of my favourite books as a kid.
