Chatty catty

We are cat-sitting Tuffy and Trina while their daddies are out of town. I stopped by to feed them after shopping today, and had a long conversation with Trina. It went roughly like this:

Me: [lets kitty sniff my finger, then a few scritches behind ears.]
Trina: Myerhm.
Me: Is that so? [more scritches]
Trina: Myerhm!
Me: Really! [some petting]
Trina: Myeh myerhm!
Me: Tell me all about it! [more petting]
[repeat for about ten minutes]
Me: Okay I have to go now.
Trina: Myerm!
Me: Alright, I'll keep going. [more petting]
[repeat for another five minutes]

I actually got some purring out of her near the end, which was a first.
