Wow. Don't you hate it when someone asks you about a project you worked on a long time ago, and you can see exactly what it does, but you have no freakin' idea WHY it does that? Nor how it manages to give you the right answer?

*sigh* At least I know that the algorithm is the kind of thing that will make sense to me, since I'm the one who wrote it...

I believe the statute of limitations on explaining your work is one year. After that, it is officially classified as "Unfathomable secrets of the Ancients".

The other amusing thing is that now that I've remembered what it does, it's faster and easier for me to convert it from PDL to Java myself than it is to explain to the other guy how he ought to go about doing the conversion properly...

If future, put the header in APL, with a stub that calls the real program. No comments. Then no-one will ever ask you about an old program again. *g*
