May. 5th, 2005 03:13 pmI just got back from a really great staff development class on digital photography. Some of it I knew. Some of it was new stuff that was really useful, like what the relationship between ISO, aperture, and shutter speed is, and what a bracketing exposure is and why you might want to do it.
And some of it was things that should be obvious, but don't occur to the amateur, which is why it's always nice to go to presentations like this and hear from a professional. Things like, "carry extra batteries for your camera". Oh! DUH! Yes, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it?

Date: 2005-05-05 02:43 pm (UTC)Still, I'm mostly a point and click person 99.9% of the time, and I honestly hate carrying the camera around and clicking. I feel like a paperazzi, but with guilt.

Date: 2005-05-05 06:51 pm (UTC)So when I have an extra $40 or so, I'm splurging on a battery charger that'll charge at least a pair of AA's in either 15 min or 30 minutes, depending on which model I get. That'll solve most of the battery issues for me. :-)
