dr_tectonicWe (work colleagues) had a going-away lunch for Eric today at the Taj, which I have to remember is possibly Boulder's best Indian restaurant, despite the sort of second-class nature of the stripmall it lives in.
This evening, we stopped at a (much seedier) nearby stripmall to check out the laundromat for reference for the next time people are making the laundry machines in the building a big pain to use. It's a very nice laundromat, though it lacks the laundry centrifuge that was a key feature of my favorite all-night facility when I lived in Boulder. We also poked our heads in the carniceria next door, mostly because I wanted to know what a carniceria was. Apparently, it is a Mexican grocery. (I had guessed "meat shop", or butcher's, based on the roots, but I guess they sell all kinds of foodstuffs.)
