Up late because we just finished playing a game of Munchkin with bryree. We got Munchkin Blender with birthday money, so now we have Way Too Many Munchkin Cards. We played with epic rules, which don't actually do anything to fix the Ridiculously Large Bonus problem (I had a combat of +67 at the end of the game, and I was only 18th level (out of 22)), but it actually ended up being a halfway close game, despite how it looked in the middle.

Had fun; my only regret is that I didn't get home until after 9 because I was at work until 8 finishing the stupid poster proposal for a conference, had to stop at the grocery store, and then spent 20 freakin' minutes in almost-stopped traffic because they narrowed 36 to one lane at Louisville for no good reason. Argh.

Last night we went out to dinner with Greg's dad (& step-mother) at Chez Thuy. Wonderful vietnamese food in Boulder. I forgot that you get a whole lot of food for not too much money there; we'll have to go more often. Stopped at Coldstone Creamery for ice cream afterwards; the first time I'd been there. It was okay, but I think it's kinda gimmicky and there are definitely places whose ice cream I like a lot better. But my lemon sorbet with raspberries was tasty.

I've decided I don't like Coldstone, because I like my favors better blended. Their rocky road, just isn't right. Part of what makes flavors like that good is the icecream soaked into the marshmallow (and vice versa.) Besides, their marshmallows are always stale. Plus, it's nearly impossible do get a sane size. Their small is enormous, and more of a meal than a dessert.
