We saw Batman Begins last night, and I really enjoyed it. Great movie!

I'm trying to think about whether there's any commentary I can add that isn't mostly what people have already said about it. Great casting -- all the actors did really well. I especially liked Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman character). Even the one or two physics boo-boos didn't make me wince too much.

I think that I really enjoy movies that work with an established canon of story and set out to do something new with it but still remain loyal to the source. Especially when they work on explaining features that are just taken for granted in the source material. Justifying the quirks of the original is a fun game, and it's nice to see it played well.

i didn't care for Katie Holmes. Otherwise, I agree with everything you said here.

Yeah, I liked it too. It's probably the best and most serious of the Batman movies--something I wasn't expecting. I was set for silly. I'm not complainging, just surprised. I still need to go see "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" again.
