I want to tell you all something interesting, but I'm tired and I have to get up early tomorrow to run the videocameras for our assistant director candidate's talk. (My main qualification for this task appears to be not being intimidated by technology.)

So instead, I will just mention that I spent the evening playing Dynasty Tactics 2 (aka, "Destroying China", as my boyfriends call it) and I managed to pull of a 12-combo with a 135,000 overkill factor. W00t!

I am not sure of the exact specifics but I am mildly aroused reading it.

Isn't that strange? Dr. T's posts about his stats have that affect on me too.

It means he killed 135,000 innocent bystanders along with an (1)enemy general. It took 12 of his generals to accomplish this. Now imagine this scenario several times per battle. Now imagine hundreds of battles in his conquest of China.

Yes. He's "Destroying China."

See, that's totally arousal-deflating. It's like saying, "No, that guy really isn't a totally hot pizza delivery boy, he's just a pornstar getting paid a lot of money."

[I remember games for my C=64 that included similar text at the ends of battles...]

Well, I do have to do my part to keep complete strangers from getting aroused by my hubby's words.

'Cause it seems to happen so much.

Pbblt! :-P

But Pit -> Decoy -> Vise II -> All Attack is such an awesome combo!
And it's not innocent bystanders, it's all the extra troops he didn't have...

I love you, dear. Really. But you seem to forget that they conscripted villagers to swell the ranks of the army. As such, each of those 135,000 pixelated innocents screamed like tortured fiery pixel weasels when you perform such massive combos.

Well, if they're anything like the villagers in your Animal Crossing game, it serves them right.

Heck, easily one in ten of the peasants I talk to in the villages is a spy on a mission to assassinate one of my generals. Good thing they're all incompetent...

I just thought I'd drop by. It's nice to see there are other video game fans out there who are also over the age of 25. One of the reasons I don't play online games is because the majority of players seem to be (or at least act like they're) 12. So...my hat goes off to you. w00t!

It's all [livejournal.com profile] kung_fu_monkey's fault. He is the console gaming master, and he supplies me with tasty video crack.
